Chiee Leong
CO-OWNER

World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA) Certified Coach – Level 3 Certified Lifesaving Instructor by the Lifesaving Society of Malaysia (LSSM)

Coach Chiee Leong is a passionate swimmer who enjoys sharing his love for the sport and helping others become more confident in the water. His interest in coaching comes from the belief that swimming is not only an important life skill, but also a sport that can improve a person’s fitness, confidence and overall well-being.

With a professional background in engineering, Coach Chiee Leong brings a calm, systematic and analytical approach to every lesson. He carefully observes each swimmer’s technique, identifies areas for improvement and breaks down complex movements into simple, manageable steps. This allows beginners to understand their mistakes without feeling overwhelmed and gradually build a strong swimming foundation.

Known for being patient, encouraging and attentive, he understands that every swimmer learns at a different pace. He creates a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, overcoming their fears and trying again without pressure. Whether a swimmer is completely new to the water or looking to improve a particular stroke, he adapts his coaching approach according to the individual’s ability, confidence and goals.

Coach Chiee Leong is especially passionate about helping beginners achieve progress they once thought was impossible. He believes that with the right guidance, consistent practice and a positive mindset, anyone can learn to swim and reach their full potential in the water.

As one of the coaches continuing the MySwim Coaching journey, Coach Chiee Leong remains committed to spreading the joy of swimming and helping more people develop a safe, enjoyable and lifelong relationship with the water.

Coach Chiee Leong runs Swim Squad, and coaches Stroke Correction and Learn to Swim for adults. He is a certified coach by the World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA) Level 3 and a certified lifesaver (Bronze Medallion) by the Life Saving Society of Malaysia (LSSM).

Coach Alyce Ooi is a highly driven swimmer and multisport athlete whose determination is fueled by her own initial struggles with swimming. She took part in her first triathlon in 2015 but was one of the last to come out of the water. Determined to improve, she joined MySwim Coaching, marking the start of a new chapter in her journey.

With the right guidance, she went on to clinch podium positions at several races such as the Penang International Cross Channel Swim 2018, 10KM Thailand Swimathon 2018, and the Port Dickson International Triathlon 2020, among many others. She was also featured in Gayatravel Magazine for her performance at the Tanjung Rhu Swimfest 2016, further highlighting her presence in the open water swimming scene. Full record here

Her newfound love for swimming and desire to influence others inspired her to take up coaching. She is well known for guiding adult swimmers from beginner levels to advanced open water performance. Her coaching philosophy is simple: with belief in oneself, patience, and consistency, anyone can swim to their best potential.
